Fabric and Fit

Fabric is the personality.
Fit is the structure.
Fit is where the garment sits.
Fabric is how the garment behaves.
Fit deals with proportion.
Shoulders aligned.
Waist placed correctly.
Sleeves and hems balanced to your frame.
Fabric deals with movement and texture: Does it flow? Does it hold structure? Does it stretch or collapse?
You can have:
• Perfect fit + wrong fabric = uncomfortable or unflattering.
• Beautiful fabric + poor fit = sloppy or awkward.
• Right fabric + right fit = effortless polish.
Most wardrobe frustration happens when we don’t separate the two.
The more you understand this difference, the more control you have over your style, instead of guessing.
Have you ever returned something because it felt wrong but couldn’t explain why? 😊
